About Ghama Zone

Modern Korean/ Japanese Cuisine

Located at 118 E Main St, Round Rock, TX 78664, Ghama Zone operates as a korean restaurant serving Round Rock in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under japanese restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

The food was amazing and the presentation was superb; however, I will admit the truffle potato pancake was a tad too decadent for my taste. On the other hand, I was appalled at the service β€” the server was curt, and I couldn't help but feel rushed to order while the menu was a bit overwhelming. Afterwards, she placed the chirashi down and quickly turned away, and I never saw her again until a completely different server came by to check me out much later, at which point I just wanted to leave. I definitely want to give the place another try, though, at a different time.

Highly recommend the short rib and surprisingly the nigiri sushi was very good. They have a lot of different flavors combining Japanese, Korean and other Asian influences in their menu. I had a great time here. The ambiance is very nice and would recommend.

the food was very good! this was my second time going. we got jjimdak, dak galbi, bimbimbap, and army base stew. the chicken in the jjimdak and dak galbi was very tender. the flavors of everything was great. totally recommend getting these. the only con was we waited 1hr 10 minutes to be seated. it was ok for the most part because they told us it would be a 45-1hour wait. but then there were empty tables and no one was clearing them off and the wait just kept getting longer even when they said it was our turn on the waitlist. then once we sat down, no one came for a while to even bring us water. the food wait was 40-50 minutes. and the waiters were nice but barely around. i just wish maybe there was more staff if they knew they would be really busy. the bimbimbap took almost an hour and we basically took it to go. not sure why it took longer since its rice with toppings. i would recommend getting a reservation or going on a weekday!

As a Korean, I highly recommend this placeβ€”it's one of the most authentic Korean restaurants you can find in Austin. We ordered gamjatang, and it tasted almost exactly like what we had in Korea. The meat portions were generous, and the side dishes (banchan) were great as well. The best part, though, was the service. We sat near the bar, and the owner (sajang-nim) was incredibly friendly and kept checking in on us. ν•œκ΅λΆ„λ“€ κ°μžνƒ• μΆ”μ²œν•©λ‹ˆλ‹€.. μŠ€μ‹œλ„ μ—„μ² λ§›μžˆμ–΄μ„œ 또 λ°©λ¬Έ μ˜ˆμ •μž…λ‹ˆλ‹€ :)

A delightful restaurant in the heart of Round Rock. We sat at the sushi bar and Peter (the owner/chef) took great care of us. We started our meal with the Chirashi bowl. It came automatically with Uni and Ikura (my favorites), along with a shareable variety of good quality raw fish and shrimp. It was served on a bed of brown rice which was delicious and had great texture. Our next course was the Unagi roll and the Spider roll. Both were very fresh and had great texture. The oil they use was clean so the deep fried crab tasted sweet, light and crunchy. We finished our meal with the Ankimo appetizer. It too had a nice fresh flavor, served with Tobiko on a bed of Ponzu sauce. This gave it a sweet and tangy flavor profile. The interior design is bright, and airy. The staff was attentive. We will definitely come back.
